Jersey City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Jersey City Grounds was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Jersey City Tritons and Pennsauken Flyers.

The Jersey City Tritons found a way to sneak past the Pennsauken Flyers, 7-6, in 10 innings. Jersey City designated hitter Matt Fightmaster, for one, had a standout performance. Anthony Carney, now 3-1, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Fightmaster hit a fastball from Ralph Green for a run-scoring single. The Tritons, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was boisterous today," said Fightmaster.

The 6th-place Tritons bumped their record to 35-37.
