A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and Athletic Club KC Reserves.

The Sioux Falls Red Pandas bested the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 11-6, at The Bamboo Forest. Roy Berriman was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Phil Berry, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-3. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 7 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 0 and walking 1.

Antoine Mercier dealt the Reserves a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Sioux Falls leading 1-0, Mercier hit a 1-0 knuckle curve for a bases-clearing double.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mercier told the Sioux Falls Daily News.

The 4th-place Red Pandas are 39-34.
