Starks Suffer 4-1 Setback

Jersey City and Syracuse duked it out and the Tritons came out victorious.
The Jersey City Tritons went home winners at Stark Stadium, thanks in large part to starter José Ferreira. Ferreira stifled the Syracuse Starks, enabling Jersey City to grab the 4-1 win. The Jersey City winning streak has reached 3 games.
Jersey City used the timely hitting of Ozzie Canales-Lister to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tritons on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Ferreira told a Jersey City Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
