Starks Suffer One-Run Loss at Jersey City
Jersey City Tritons starter Alfonso Rodríguez hurled his team past the Syracuse Starks, 2-1. The save went to Cristián Hernández, his 5th this season. Jersey City now sits at 39-35, while Syracuse falls to 25-49.

In the bottom of the fourth, Mario Peña delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Jersey City left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Tritons in front, 2-1.

"Alfonso made some big pitches when he needed to," said Tritons manager Steve Bryan.
