6-4 Loss to Pajaritos Extends Syracuse Losing Streak
Though he had a terrific game, Wayne Narborough could not prevent his team, the Syracuse Starks, from absorbing a loss. Norfolk won the game, 6-4. Narborough went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Robert O'Reilly, who is tied for 9th in the PAAA in quality starts with 8, was the winner. He's now 6-5. The loser was Jorge Vázquez. Now 26-48, Syracuse has lost 11 in a row.

Nicky Chamings was vital to the Norfolk win. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second with one out, Chamings hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-1, in favor of the Pajaritos.

"The tide will turn," said losing manager Homer Robertson. "We just need to keep our chins up."
