The Nashville Hot Chickens dealt the Tortolita Drummers a 5-4 loss at Drummers Ballpark. Getsy Eberflus was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2. Wayne King, the winning pitcher, improved to 7-6. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 4. The 7th-place Hot Chickens improved to 32-43.

Nashville used the timely hitting of Hudson Williams to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hot Chickens on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Eberflus told a Nashville Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
