The Norfolk Pajaritos knocked off the Syracuse Starks, 4-2, in USPL Triple A action at Norfolk Field. Norfolk pitcher and New York, native Doug Morgan had an outstanding performance. By defeating Syracuse, the 6th-place Pajaritos improved to 35-40.

The Starks had trouble solving Morgan, who surrendered no runs on no hits over 6 innings.

Morgan called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
