Liberty Reserves Beat Fighting Dachshunds, 4-2
|
The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves downed the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 4-2, at Liberty Reserve Stadium. The Liberty Reserves were led by Mark Jarvis. Jarvis went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Kasper Berg, the winner, is now 3-8. He struck out 5 and walked 4 over 7 innings, while allowing 1 run on 4 hits. Javier Salinas notched his 16th save in 16 chances.
Philadelphia grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Jarvis hit a 3-run home run off Arturo Santos. His 3rd home run of the season put the Liberty Reserves out in front, 4-1.
Jarvis attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
The win for the Liberty Reserves lifted their record to 44-32.
