Pérez, Syracuse Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Alfredo Pérez, who is tied for 2nd in the PAAA with a 1.92 ERA, was brilliant in helping Syracuse beat the Baton Rouge Brass, 2-1. The win puts Syracuse at 41-35 this season.
Pérez, now 6-3, scattered 3 hits over 8 innings for the Squirrel Monkeys.
Pérez told a Syracuse Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
