Pajaritos Lose By a Run at Bakersfield

Francisco Encarnación was masterful in helping the Bakersfield Nobles take down the Norfolk Pajaritos, 1-0. Encarnación picked up the win for Bakersfield, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Jared Wilson earned the save for Bakersfield, his 19th.
The Nobles got a big at-bat from first baseman Koen Weegerink. For the game, Weegerink went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Bakersfield a 1-0 lead.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Weegerink.
The Nobles, at 42-34, sit in third place in the Premier AAA.
