Fighting Dachshunds Come Up Short at Sacramento, 2-1
Ellenburg wasted a solid 7-inning effort from starting pitcher Roberto Silva, losing to Sacramento, 2-1, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Sacramento starter Dustin Burgess was credited with the win after throwing 109 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Miguel Ortíz closed the game out for Sacramento, earning his 10th save.

Edmond King had a big run-scoring double for the Redlegs in the bottom of the third inning. With Sacramento leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 33-year old left-handed pitcher Roberto Silva and swatted a double to right. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Redlegs ahead, 2-0.

"Some games build character," said Sacramento manager Kyle Lucas. "Like this one."

Sacramento raised its record to 43-34 with the win.
