The Toronto Thunder defeated the Philadelphia Liberty, 13-6. Doing his part was right fielder John Matthews, who hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The save was credited to Gary Smith, his 2nd. The Thunder saw their record improve to 20-27.
