Rich Banks, who is tied for 5th in the PAAA in complete games with 1, had a strong outing for the Pennsauken Flyers against the Nashville Hot Chickens at Hot Chickens Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Pennsauken reliever José Durán snagged the win, upping his record to 5-4. Steven Boon shouldered the loss. Robert Walls closed the door for Pennsauken, picking up his 1st save of the year.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Jacob Cox grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Flyers took the lead, 3-2.
In postgame remarks, Cox applauded his team's "business-like approach."
The Flyers now own a record of 43-34.
