The Baton Rouge Brass trumped the Sacramento Redlegs, 10-5, at Brass Field. Baton Rouge designated hitter Logan Rice was terrific. He hit 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 6. Eddie Walden got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Tai sun Huo collected save number 1.

With Baton Rouge leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Rice hit a run-scoring single off Sacramento hurler Mauro Ramírez. It was the 20th hit of the season for Rice and put his team ahead, 3-1.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Rice said. "And the same is true when you lose."
