Squirrel Monkeys Deal Brass 6-3 Loss
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys topped the Baton Rouge Brass, 6-3, in 10 innings. Syracuse designated hitter Jason Johnson, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Syracuse is now 42-35, while Baton Rouge is 36-41.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Foster Brantley to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"There's no quit in this team," said Squirrel Monkeys manager Ramón Barrueco.
