Syracuse starter Hugh Mann pitched well against the Kansas Rainbeaus at Stark Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. The winner was Mann. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Marty Davis. The save was credited to Vincent Jones, his 7th.
