Lee Excels, But Squirrel Monkeys Win
Though he had a stellar game, James Lee could not prevent his team, the Baton Rouge Brass, from losing, 5-4, to the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys. Lee went 4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Rizhean Bonrostro came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. James Tucker earned the save for Syracuse, his 11th.

Syracuse needed the clutch hitting of Sam McElroy to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 5-4. For the game, McElroy had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz.
