Baton Rouge pitcher Sixto Espinosa had a large part in his team beating the Sacramento Redlegs, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win went to Bhu Pahayahay in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Chris Evans took the loss. With the win, Baton Rouge raised its record to 51-27.
Brad Vaughn was the walk-off hero for Baton Rouge. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Brass third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Vaughn attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
