The Kansas Rainbeaus defeated the Sacramento Redlegs, 5-3, at Wichita Field. Kansas first baseman Paul Sherman had a superb performance. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Mike McCauley recorded the save, his 10th. The victory gives Kansas a record of 51-28.

Timmy Derp dealt the Redlegs a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Kansas leading 2-0, Derp, who leads the PAAA in runs scored with 56, hit a full count fastball for a 2-run single.

"Glad to get this win," said Derp. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
