Starks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Pride
The Syracuse Starks defeated the Hartford Pride, 8-7, in 10 innings. Wayne Narborough led the way, going 2-for-4 for Syracuse. The Pride have now dropped 8 straight.

The Starks got a clutch hit from designated hitter Bill Strong. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Starks.

"This place was rocking at the end," Narborough said.
