The Montreal Machine defeated the Syracuse Starks, 5-4. Doing his part was first baseman Gregory Hartman, who was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Rudolph Williams earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 4-4. Gary Smith nailed down his 10th save.

Had Oliver Garden not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Garden hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Machine.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Garden told the Montreal Gazette.

At 37-42, the Machine find themselves in 8th place in the Premier AAA.
