At Sacramento Sanitation Station, the Jersey City Tritons and Sacramento Redlegs were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Sacramento parlayed a decent outing from starter Brian McDaniel into a solid win over the Jersey City Tritons. The final score was 5-2. Chris Evans, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.

Tied up with the Tritons in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Redlegs got a boost from designated hitter Elvin Baldwin. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Baldwin saw a first pitch fastball from José Ferreira and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Sacramento on top, 3-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," McDaniel said after the game.

The Redlegs now have a record of 33-47 with the win over Jersey City.
