McCullough Helps Nobles Beat Fighting Dachshunds, 7-2
|
The Bakersfield Nobles stymied the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 7-2, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Nelson McCullough had a good day at the plate. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for Bakersfield. Han-soo Yang got the win, improving to 7-4. He held the Fighting Dachshunds to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. With the win, Bakersfield goes to 44-36, while the Fighting Dachshunds fall to 41-39.
In the first inning, McCullough had a 2-run home run for Bakersfield. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Nobles on top, 2-0.
