The Montreal Machine picked up a win at Stade Olympique, knocking off the Pennsauken Flyers, 2-1. Starting pitcher Akil bin Abbud was a big reason why. François Delattre came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Montreal is 8th in the Premier AAA with a record of 38-43.

Montreal took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Yerson Acevedo hit a clutch solo home run to bring Machine fans to their feet.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Montreal skipper Alfonso Vera.
