King Leads Nashville to 4-1 Win
|
Wayne King, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in innings pitched with 103.1, imposed his will on the Starks from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the left-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Nashville triumph. Nashville is now 35-46, Syracuse 32-49.
King was in the zone, shutting down Syracuse hitters over 8 innings. King, who threw 92 pitches, allowed 1 run on 4 hits. He also tallied 7 punchouts.
"I'm happy we won," said King. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
