The Syracuse Starks defeated the Nashville Hot Chickens, 6-5, in 12 innings. Paul Ferguson played a big role. Ferguson went 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Starks in the win. The 5th-place Starks hiked their record to 40-41.

Had Ferguson not come through in the top of the 12th, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Ferguson hit a run-scoring single. The Starks took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.
