Redlegs Turn Back Flyers, 3-2
|
The Sacramento Redlegs picked up a win at Sacramento Sanitation Station, knocking off the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Nick Stewart was a big reason why. Miguel Ortíz was credited with the save for Sacramento, his 11th of the season. The third-place Redlegs go to 45-37.
Evan Longboardia, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in home runs with 11, aided the Sacramento cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk.
"I really like what we did out there today," Longboardia said after the game.
