Baton Rouge Breezes to 12-2 Win
The Baton Rouge Brass stopped the Jersey City Tritons, 12-2, behind an impressive performance from Martin Mills. The 26-year old second baseman made life miserable for Jersey City pitching. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Kevin Webb was the winner. He's now 7-5. The loser was 26-year old left-handed pitcher Trent Troubridge. Baton Rouge is now 39-43.

Domingo Gómez had a big run-scoring triple for the Brass in the bottom of the first inning. With Baton Rouge leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Trent Troubridge and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brass ahead, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Mills told the Baton Rouge Daily.
