In a low-scoring contest between the Montreal Machine and the Nashville Hot Chickens, 30-year old right-handed pitcher Thaddeus Alambra proved to be the difference. The Montreal right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Machine win. Montreal is now 39-43, while Nashville is 33-49.

Montreal got a clutch hit from Henny Clerq. The left fielder socked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was game-ender.

Montreal manager Alfonso Vera commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
