The Bakersfield Nobles stopped the Sacramento Redlegs, 11-5, at Jerome Grounds. The Nobles got a big game from Mark Proctor, who belted 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. The Nobles, at 47-36, have now won 4 straight.

Had Jorge Santos not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Santos hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Nobles.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Santos said.
