Flyers Suffer 4-3 Loss to Tritons
|
Jersey City Tritons starter Dennis Heath pitched well against the Pennsauken Flyers at Jersey City Grounds, leading his team to a win, 4-3. Heath, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Jersey City currently is in 5th place in the Premier AAA at 44-40.
Jersey City went up, 4-3, on Matt Fightmaster's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Fightmaster hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Pennsauken pitcher Rich Banks shaking his head.
"Bottom line," said Pennsauken skipper Culley Adjeng, "we didn't play well enough to win."
