The Bakersfield Nobles earned a close win over the Sacramento Redlegs, thanks in part to David Sullivan. The Bakersfield right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in strikeouts with 98, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Sullivan picked up the win for Bakersfield, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 8-6. The Nobles raised their record to 48-36.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Nobles had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when shortstop Alfredo Barrera hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Yoshitaka Shinohara and made the score 3-0, Nobles. Barrera went 1-3.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Sullivan.
