Ellenburg took on Syracuse in front of a lively crowd.

The 3-hit performance of Armando Otero helped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds beat the Syracuse Starks, 3-0. Mei-shio Qin came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-4. Jody Dunn collected his 20th save.

The Fighting Dachshunds got an important contribution from shortstop H.R. Pickens, who in the top of the third hit a fastball to center for a solo home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Fighting Dachshunds ahead, 2-0.

Ellenburg manager Pedro Rodríguez praised his team's "energy."
