Redlegs Make It 5 In a Row with 7-5 Triumph Over Syracuse
The 7-5 Sacramento win over Syracuse was due in large part to Theo Belcher. The Redlegs designated hitter was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Joe Davis got credit for the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits in 6.2 innings. The Redlegs saw their win-loss record go to 53-34. At the same time, the Starks fell to 27-60.

Belcher had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Redlegs went on to win.
