The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys weathered a fine game by Sacramento catcher Edmond King to upend the Redlegs, 4-3, at The Zoo in Syracuse. King was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. James Tucker earned the save for Syracuse, his 13th of the year. The Squirrel Monkeys saw their win-loss record go to 49-38. At the same time, the Redlegs fell to 46-41.

In the bottom of the seventh, Syracuse designated hitter Jason Johnson hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it 4-3, Squirrel Monkeys.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Sacramento manager Kyle Lucas, "let me know."
