Tortolita registered a win at Plymouth Quarry by beating the Plymouth Rocks, 4-3. Pitcher Iban Wilson was one reason why the Drummers triumphed. By defeating Plymouth, the 5th-place Drummers improved to 48-39.

Tortolita used a clutch at-bat from Francisco Cardenas to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Drummers ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Tortolita manager Marcos Costa. "It's usually not just one thing."
