Sacramento third baseman Jason Cholmondoley had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Cholmondoley went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2, even as Ellenburg beat the Redlegs, 6-5. The 4th-place Fighting Dachshunds sport a record of 45-43.

The Fighting Dachshunds got a clutch hit from third baseman José Arroyo. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Fighting Dachshunds.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Arroyo.
