Rainbeaus Suffer 9-3 Setback
Kansas got a terrific performance from pitcher Bob Bradley, but it wasn't enough to beat the Jersey City Tritons. Jersey City won the Wichita Field contest, 9-3. Bradley threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Roberto Alegría snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 3 innings. He's now 3-1 on the season. Jersey City goes to 33-56, Kansas to 57-32.

Jersey City used the timely hitting of Matt Fightmaster to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tritons on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
