Phil Parks did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Norfolk Pajaritos an extra-inning, 5-4 loss to the Nashville Hot Chickens at Norfolk Field. Parks belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Marlon Anderson, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA in saves with 17, was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-5. The losing pitcher was Doug Holland. With the win, the Hot Chickens improved to 37-53.

Dong-su Yun drove in one run for Nashville. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Yun, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA in triples with 2, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Norfolk hurler Doug Holland, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Hot Chickens a 5-4 lead.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Yun told the Nashville Times. "But we take nothing for granted."
