Redlegs Need Extra Innings to Top Flyers, 15-13
Pennsauken got a terrific game from designated hitter Dennis Veeneman. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Sacramento, 15-13, in 11 innings. Veeneman went 4 for 6 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. Sacramento is now 53-37.

Sacramento used the timely hitting of Gisbert Clerq to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Redlegs on top, 11-10. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Clerq called getting the win a "good ending to a long game."
