The Billings Polar Bears overcame a good performance by St. Petersburg designated hitter Greg Harrington to knock off St. Petersburg, 7-6, at Baby Thunder Dome. Harrington went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Thomas Reed closed it out for his 2nd save. The win gives Billings a record of 2-1.

Rafael Cruz contributed to the Billings win with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Cruz, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
