Marvin Garner never let Buffalo get something going. The Toledo left-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Stingers to a 4-0 win. Toledo is now 29-19.

With two out in the bottom of the second, John Myers Myers put Toledo in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Stingers went on to win the ballgame.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Toledo manager David Bunting. "It's usually not just one thing."
