Flyers Win, 3-2, in 10
|
The Pennsauken Flyers took Cisco Morales's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Pennsauken Park. The final score had Pennsauken getting past the Starks, 3-2, in 10 innings. Morales over 8 innings allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5. Pennsauken reliever Adam Shirley got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Tony Hurtado was tagged with the loss. Pennsauken is now 53-40, while Syracuse is 46-47.
The Flyers relied on second baseman Cortland Talman for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Talman.
