Josh Barnette nearly tossed a no-hitter for Sacramento in a 4-1 Redlegs triumph over the Nashville Hot Chickens. Chris Evans closed it out for his 14th save. The Redlegs, at 38-55, sit in 9th place in the Premier AAA.

Barnette gave Sacramento a solid start. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit over 8 innings.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Sacramento manager Kyle Lucas. "That's what Josh is right now."
