A 4-RBI performance from Maru Kobayashi, who is rated as the 47th best prospect by BNN, helped the Baton Rouge Brass beat the Jersey City Tritons, 8-3. The win puts the Brass at 46-47, while the Tritons drop to 47-46.
Mike Coleman, the Baton Rouge third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, Brass. For the game, Coleman was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Jersey City manager John Sirica.
