Ellenburg and Norfolk duked it out and the Fighting Dachshunds came out victorious.

The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds topped the Norfolk Pajaritos, 4-1, in USPL Triple A action at Norfolk Field. The standout performance belonged to Ellenburg pitcher and Stirling, Scotland, native Hamish Mitchell. Jody Dunn got credit for the save for Ellenburg. It was his 23rd of the year.

H.R. Pickens had a direct impact on the outcome. Pickens contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Ellenburg up, 4-1.

Ellenburg manager Pedro Rodríguez praised his team's "businesslike approach."

The Fighting Dachshunds go to 49-45, putting them 4th in the Premier AAA.
