Good production from right fielder Xue-liang Ci helped the Baton Rouge Brass topple the Pennsauken Flyers, 10-3. Ci was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Brass. Freddy Hernández came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 4.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. Baton Rouge improves to 60-35 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.

With Baton Rouge leading 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Ci hit a fastball from Chip Sizemore for a bases-clearing double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Brass ahead, 7-3.
