Clarence Butler was locked in. The right-hander led the Sacramento Redlegs to a 4-1 win against the Baton Rouge Brass at Brass Field. Butler yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Evan Longboardia to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Longboardia.

The third-place Redlegs now have a win-loss record of 51-44.
