The first-place Baton Rouge Brass picked up another win.

The Baton Rouge Brass grabbed a win, 4-2, over the Sacramento Redlegs at Brass Field. Baton Rouge center fielder Terry Betancourt went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Pedro Cruz recorded his 6th save for Baton Rouge.

With Baton Rouge leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Betancourt came up to bat against Sacramento pitcher Peer Slooters. Betancourt hit a cutter to right for a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Brass on top, 3-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Betancourt said.

The first-place Brass now have a win-loss record of 64-32.
