Ward Spins 4-0 Shutout Against Montreal
|
It was a smooth and solid performance by Tom Ward of the Sacramento Redlegs against the Montreal Machine. He crafted a fine 6-hitter to blank the Machine, 4-0. He chalked up 4 strikeouts and no walks along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy when my pitcher tosses a shutout," said Sacramento skipper Kyle Lucas. "I can just sit back, watch and enjoy."
This season, Ward has gone 9-5 with an ERA of 2.30, posting 80 strikeouts in 109.1 innings.
