The Bakersfield Nobles grabbed a win, 8-3, over the Tortolita Drummers at Drummers Ballpark. Bakersfield center fielder Bill Simon belted 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. Jim Everhart got credit for the win, improving to 13-3. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 7.1 innings. The Nobles lead the Premier AAA by 18 games.

With Bakersfield leading 4-2 in the top of the sixth, Simon hit a fastball from Luis Rosário for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Nobles ahead, 7-2.

"Enjoyed this one," Simon told the Bakersfield News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
