The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds defeated the Jersey City Tritons, 2-0, in USPL Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Ellenburg pitcher Mal Edwards had a standout performance. Jody Dunn earned the save for Ellenburg, his 25th of the year. Ellenburg has won 3 straight, while Jersey City has lost 3 in a row.
Ellenburg took a 2-0 lead on H.R. Pickens's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Pickens hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Jersey City pitcher Bill Mitchell visibly frustrated.
