5-4 Loss Deepens Milton Funk
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas turned back the Milton Dogfish Head, 5-4, at Milton Corner Tavern. Jeremy Gaines, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Sean Jones, the winner, goes to 4-2. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts over 5 innings. The Dogfish Head have now dropped 7 straight.

Sioux Falls took a 5-3 lead on Phil Berry's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Berry hit in the top of the seventh, left Milton pitcher Vicente Molina shaking his head.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Gonzalo Velásquez, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
