Sherman Stars for Rainbeaus in 11-5 Win
The 11-5 Kansas win over Syracuse was due in large part to Paul Sherman. The Rainbeaus first baseman was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. John Harris notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.1 innings. His record now sits at 3-4. With the win, Kansas pushed its record to 64-36.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Edward Roberson was at the plate when Kansas scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Rainbeaus to go in front, 7-5.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Guillaume Colin said.
