The Baton Rouge Brass pinned a convincing loss on the Sacramento Redlegs, 12-3, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Fred Burton was a main factor in the win. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for Baton Rouge. The first-place Brass, at 64-37, lead the Premier AAA by 6 games.

With Baton Rouge leading 4-0 in the top of the second, Burton batted against Sacramento pitcher Mauro Ramírez. Burton hit a sinker to right for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Brass on top, 8-0.

"We maximized our offense today," said Baton Rouge skipper Luis Ruíz. "That makes everyone's life easier."
